How does Google help your business grow

Search engine optimization, also known as SEO, consists in organizing information on your web page for it to be easily found by the search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo), Google being the dominant player.

The purpose of this module is for you to understand how your coach will help you in order for the search engines particularly Google, to show the content of your page in the results of searches your potential customers realize.

The great benefit is that Google sends visitors to the page, and the more visitors you get, the bigger the possibilities of converting them into customers. It´s like a friend who recommends your business and guides potential customers to your page to find out more, every time someone asks if they know a business that does what you do.

That's what Google does for your business. Sends people to your "Business premises" every time someone asks.

Why should you be interested in optimizing your page for search engines? In other words do SEO on your page? In order for people who are realizing searches on Google (your potential customers), to discover your site and it´s marvelous content. (products, articles, E-books, blogs etc) which at the same time will lead to a sale.

We guide you on how to prepare and organize your content so that it efficiently shows up as an alternative when someone requests this information on the search engines.

If you appear on the first organic results page that Google sheds, the bigger the probability that people will click on some of the links, and obviously take them to your web page to offer them some "temptations" which will generate conversion (subscription to newsfeeds, E-book downloads, information requests)

The first thing you need to understand is that your web page, your web site is a collection of internal web pages. This means that the results Google sheds are the specific results of a section of your web site. So each page points to specific keywords and aspire to appear on specific searches.

While each of these pages depends on, or is "hung" from the root of your domain (for example, www.empresa.com) these are individual pages and each has a unique address to which visitors access. These unique addresses are called URL (Unique resource locator), which is like the unique identification number of each internal page (there are no two URL's which are the same). For example www.rampamarketingdigital.com/posicionamientogoogle is an specific URL.

All of its internal pages, like "products", "who are we" and "contact us", each one has a unique address, which means that each one is read, scanned or indexed independently by Google.

Even though all internal pages come off the same root (it´s principal domain), for Google, each is independent and classifies them with specific keywords which it considers to be the content.

Although Google knows they all belong to the same domain, each is independent. As an example these could be different URL's of your page:

www.yourcompanydomain.com
www.dominiodesucompany.com/productos www.dominiodesucompany.com/productos/producto-a www.dominiodesucompany.com/productos/producto-b www.dominiodesucompany.com/news
www.dominiodesucompany.com/tips-y-recomendaciones www.dominiodesucompany.com/testimoniales

woww.dominiodesucompany.com/testimoniales/cliente-a www.dominiodesucompany.com/testimoniales/cliente-b www.dominiodesucompany.com/contacto

Each of the previous URL´s is indexed or registered by Google, by which each one has the possibility of being found when someone searches. People do not find your page on Google, they find a section of your page. So the more URL´s you have the bigger the possibilities of appearing on the search results, hence the importance of having abundant content on your page (many internal pages)

How does Google work

How is the process by which Google "scans" the information on web pages

Hence the importance of generating content regularly

So, what is optimizing a page?

To optimize a page is to organize its information for Google to find it easily when someone requests it. As we said, Google scans all of our website and during this process it associates and decides where in its huge library it will store all the information it finds.

If someone does not have their page organized inside (having labels in place for Google) the words by which it will classify you in its library could not be the correct ones and hence end up being wrongly classified. This way when someone asks the search engine about your subject, Google may not find you under those terms, in other words, your valuable page won't show up on the results.

Again, optimizing, is to guarantee Google the information you have on your web site so that when it scans it, it can index it easily. It can save it and classify it well, so that when someone asks for it, it can look for it in the right place, or the right space in its huge library.

If you organize all of the information correctly, Google can classify it with the right labels.

If you have well organized the information, in other words, optimized, Google will find it easily and will archive it in its library with the correct labels. That´s what search engine optimization is all about. Organizing all the information with the right labels so that Google sees it with ease, and when it is going to store it in its huge library of all web pages, it can place it in the correct place. Associated to the correct keywords. That way when someone requests this information, your page is shown in the results.

Obviously, many people and companies are trying to appear on the first results page for certain words and key phrases. That is where the competition starts, about the content that each one generates and the different pages that each sends Google.

Which will have more predominance? The algorithm makes a tie-breaker between various similar contents for each of the variables. In the measure that each content has better indicators, major relevance it will have  to appear in the searches and will show up at a higher place in the ranking.
